The process of selecting timing belt drives for new prototypes or for production applications just became easier with the publication by Stock Drive Products and Sterling Instrument (ISO 9001 registered) of this FREE 480-page catalog, the "Handbook Of Timing Belts and Pulleys, Catalog D265". The catalog features the new GT®2 Series timing belt drives. GT®2 belts are as much as 7 dBA quieter than other types. 

A highlight of the catalog, identified as D265, is a comprehensive 169-page Technical Reference Section which covers in detail designing with and installing the new GT^®2 belt drives. Other topics covered in detail include belt configurations, belt construction, belt tensioning, drive alignment, idler usage, and belt pull and bearing load considerations, etc. The catalog is divided into 4 product sections. 

Section 1 covers inch and metric timing belts which include the following Pitches: MXL, 40 DP, XL, L, 3 mm HTD, 5 mm HTD, T2.5, T5, T10, 2 mm GT^®2, 3 mm GT^®2, and 5 mm GT^®2. Section 1 also includes timing belt stock, and belt tension tester products. 

Section 2 and 3 features over 9,400 inch and metric timing belt pulleys which are stocked in the following 5 materials: steel, aluminum, polycarbonate, acetal, and nylon. The newly patented Shaftloc® rotating component fastening device, consisting of a simple to use 2 part collet lock is featured in this section. 

Section 4 covers both inch and metric timing pulley stock and flanges.
