The splines are straddled milled, the
bushings are broached. The spline sides
are straight and the two straddled parallel
surfaces are milled simultaneously.
Splined bushings can be used press-fitted or
fastened to components which require relative
axial motion with respect to the spline.
Bushings made of bronze or mild steel
are available.
