New Pillow Blocks From Sterling Instrument Feature Frelon® Lined, Self-Lubricating, Aluminum Bearing

Image Driven Product Finder & Current Prices

A new series of 54 pillow blocks from Sterling Instrument (an ISO 9001 manufacturer) feature Frelon® lined Anodized Aluminum bearings which carry 4 to 8 times the load of ball bearings. A 1/2" I.D. Frelon bearing will carry as much load as a 1" I.D. ball bearing. Long service life for these self-lubricated bearings is another major benefit. Although wear rates are affected by surface finish, shaft hardness, length of travel, contamination and lubrication, these bearings last on average 4 to 8 times longer than ball bearings.

The self-aligning bearings, identified as the S61P_C and S61P_Z Series, are stocked in precision and standard bore tolerances and in inch and metric sizes. They are designed to fit shafts that range from .250" to 1.25" and from 8 to 30 mm. Open and closed models with both precision and standard tolerances are available.

Detailed technical specifications are contained in SI Catalogs D790 (Inch) and D785 (Metric), available free upon request from Sterling Instrument, 2101 Jericho Turnpike, P. O. Box 5416, New Hyde Park, New York 11042-5416. Phone: 516-328-3300 • Fax: 516-326-8827.
