Image
Driven Product Finder & Current Prices
An expanded line of small double universal joints manufactured by Stock Drive Products feature metal reinforced molded construction to provide lower cost, lighter weight, a higher strength-to-weight ratio and lower inertia when compared with all-metal types. These SUPER-PLAST® metal reinforced components are designed for use in low torque instrumentation and appliance applications. They do not require lubrication.
Identified as the A 5Z 8-DD and A 5Z 8MDD for the metric series, they are backlash-free and will accommodate angular shaft displacements of up to 90o. They can also be used to efficiently correct lateral misalignments between two shafts.
SDP stocks them in 8 inch and 8 metric sizes for use with 1/8" to 3/8" (2 mm to 8 mm) diameter shafts and in overall lengths of from 1-23/64" to
3-33/64" (34.6 mm to 89.2 mm). Two set screws located 180o apart serve to position each end section of the unit to the shaft. Maximum recommended ambient temperature is 180o F (85oC). Maximum torque values range from 2.5 to 47 lb. in. (0.3 to 5.3 N•m). Prices start at just $8.93 with substantial quantity discounts offered. For current prices, look under Universal Joints at:
