A new series of inch and metric flexible helical couplings from Sterling
Instrument (an ISO 9001 manufacturer) feature one-piece Anodized Aluminum construction with set screw type or integral clamp split-hub type designs for fastening to both shafts. They have the ability to adapt to both high- and low-speed applications with a high level of fatigue resistance. Their angular misalignment compensation is 5o, with a maximum parallel offset range of 0.25 mm (±.010"), and an axial motion range of 0.25 mm (±.010").
Identified as the S50HAWM (Metric) and S50HAA- (Inch) Series, they are designed to fit shafts ranging in diameter from 3 to 12 mm in metric and 3/32" to 1/2" in inch sizes. Their O.D ranges from 15 to 30 mm in metric and 3/8" to 1-1/8" in inch. Lengths are available from 22 to 38 mm and from 3/8" to 1-1/2".
