Driven Product Finder & Current Prices
An expanded line of inch and metric size off-the shelf splined sleeve flexible couplings manufactured by Stock Drive Products offer torsional resiliency to absorb load pulsations and shocks in instrumentation applications.
Identified as the A 5Z21, A 5Z22, and A 5Z23 Series, these three part couplings consist of a splined polyethylene or urethane connecting sleeve which mates with the grooves of two molded acetal hubs - each of which is reinforced with anodized aluminum inserts.
The torsional resiliency of these couplings is dependent on the length of the connecting sleeve used. These sleeves can be obtained in lengths up to 12", and can be cut to size to satisfy overall coupling lengths or resiliency requirements. The series A 5Z21, A 5Z22, and A 5Z23 couplings can accommodate up to 7o angular misalignment and transmit 1/20, 1/6, and 1/2 HP at 1750 rpm respectively. It is a unique feature of these couplings that the hub wraps around the sleeve, trapping it in such a manner that its flexibility is retained and the engagement is secure. The parallel offset a coupling can accommodate is a function of the sleeve length used. Prices start at just $10.12 with substantial quantity discounts offered.
